What you see before your eyes is Textron & Airland's Scorpion Jet, apparently the project went from drawing board to reality in around 2 years, which I think is re-freaking-diculous. I guess they haven't received any orders yet but are banking on the fact that the jet is ready is ready to go. Anyways here is a video of the jet recognizing the nation's best men's college basketball team (non-debatable):

Psht that's just pandering. We all know who the real best team in Kansas is.

It's going to be tough to sell a clean-sheet jet to the US Gov't outside of the normal procurement process. I wish them well, but I'm not holding my breath.

That is a weird looking plane to see and hear above you. It looks like a baby F-18, or an AlphaJet with canted stabilizers, and it sounds right, more like a big-boy fighter than you might expect, but you cannot miss those wings. It reminds you that however they like to brand it, this is a Cessna at heart. A really badass Cessna.

We'd know if the cowards in Lawrence ever manned up and came down here.

We aren't the cowards, it's your coach that's afraid to do anything but a home and home series.

He proposed a home and home, plus a game at the Sprint Center in KC. That *is practically a second home game for KU. Since the dealbreaker is Wichita State getting to play any home game at all, my point stands: KU is afraid to come to Wichita to play the Shockers.

I work for one of their subsidiaries. They've kicked ass recently

Or maybe we have more interesting teams to play rather than spend 3 seasons playing WSU?

Yes, I'm sure those games against Iona and Toledo were edifying.

Congrats, you picked the two games we played against mediocre teams out of statistically the toughest schedule in the country this year.

What were your quality wins this year? Oh, I forgot, you played literally no one.

Wichita State would have happily played quality teams, but no one wants to play with them. =( I wonder why.

Wichita state would have lost to quality teams, if that's what you mean.

Ideally, yes. Wichita State would be much better off losing against quality competition, whether that meant KU or anyone else, than wasting their time with the offal that used to be the MVC (I'd love to see them go to the AAC and rekindle old conference series with Cincinnati, Houston, Tulsa and Memphis) or the few non-conference opponents it can persuade to play. No one except silly fanboys gives KU hell for having lost 6 games this season, they give them respect for having a good record with a tough schedule. I'd like to see Wichita State get the same chance for respect, and the easiest way to do that is for Wichita State to get a crack at the local titans.

Davidson College was able to get a 3 year deal from Duke, two games in Durham and a game in Charlotte (Davidson is a Charlotte suburb). That's a school 1/5 the size of Wichita State. The Shockers should get a better deal than that.

For the sake of disclosure, I'm a KU alum and a WSU student, so I think can see both sides of things. I believe the Jayhawks should do more to make a series happen.

Haha, I'm still not entirely sold on the looks. It certainly isn't in the mold of the traditional fighter jet, though that is not what its aiming for.

Definitely can see the Cessna influences with the high wing and airfoil profile. It is without a doubt a unique looking jet.
